The European Computer Driving Licence is a fundamental qualification in IT skills. The ECDL is internationally recognised and is open to anyone regardless of age, previous experience or employment background. In the UK the awarding body for the ECDL is the British Computer Society (BCS).

The ECDL is divided up into 7 modules, a candidate must pass a short exam for each module in order to gain the qualification.

    Basic Concepts of information Technology
Using the Computer and Managing Files
    Word Processing
    Spreadsheets
    Databases
