ADC is able to offer through Learndirect a range of English courses for speakers of other languages absolutely FREE! You can study at your own pace using computers in a friendly and supportive environment.

ADC is one of the few Learndirect centres that is able to offer learners the highly comprehensive ELLIS courses and we have qualified ESOL tutors available to help students, when they require it. ELLIS is a fantastic computer based course that uses video scenes which allow learners to practice their English by recording and listening to their own voice. ELLIS also contains help in 23 languages.

What to do next

  • The first thing you need to do is book an appointment to see one of our advisors. You will first be given a short diagnostic test to check what your current level of English is, so that we may offer you the most appropriate course.
  • The results of your diagnostic test will be discussed with you and we will go through the most appropriate courses which will help you to improve your English skills.
  • Once you have finished your ESOL courses you may even wish to progress onto taking a recognised qualification.
