Learndirect courses are primarily self study courses and are available in a verity of formats, most Learndirect courses are available on-line meaning that they are delivered via the interenet to your PC.
On-line courses tend to be multimedia, this means that they are interactive and can include sound, video and animation. If you undertake an online course you will access the course via the Learndirect web site at www.learndirect.co.uk.
Off-line course are also multimedia but tend to be provided on CD-ROMs this means you do not require an internet connection in order to study the course. unlike On-line courses however the Off-line courses are unable to save your status to the internet therefore if you use the course on several PCs your current course location or assessment results may not be acurate.
A few Learndirect courses are in the form of paperbased manuals. These courses are primarliy the IT Professional courses offered by ADC such as the A+ and the Network+ although alternative computerbased courses are available.
